Who We Are
Vida Nueva is a group of volunteers who seek to partner with Topeka's Latino community to respond to their needs, strengthen community, facilitate integration, and create lasting relationships.
What We Do
We offer a variety of basic skills classes to adult students, including conversational English (ESL), citizenship, nutrition, and Spanish classes. We provide childcare and a homework center for children of our students during class times as well.
Beginners and intermediate English classes are typically held on Monday and Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.
Volunteers can teach, assist in the classroom, be conversation partners, tutor, help in the garden or provide child care during our classes.
