Little Prairie Donation Garden

Little Prairie Donation Garden is managed by people who are passionate about gardening and want to give back to the community. We believe that access to fresh produce is a vital component to help families thrive in our community. We all work full-time at our day jobs and spend the evenings and weekends at the donation garden as much as we can so we rely on volunteers like you!

Little Prairie Donation Garden is an extension of our community garden in Lawrence, Kansas, with the same name. 100% of what we grow is donated to local organizations. Last year, we donated nearly 5,000 pounds of produce to organizations like Just Food and the Sunrise Project. We hold standing workdays, as well as flexible opportunities for involvement at the garden. Activities include planting/harvesting produce, spreading mulch and compost, maintenance around the garden and orchard and more. We welcome all ages and skill levels!
