Historic Topeka Cemetery

Historic Topeka Cemetery’s inception was in 1859 and is the oldest chartered cemetery in the State of Kansas spanning across 80-acres with more than 35,000 burials. We are the final resting of many prominent Kansans, including founders of this city and state. Since 2017, our entire cemetery is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We represent the community for past, present and future generations in a peaceful park-like setting for reflection and remembrance. We strive to provide respectful and affordable interment services meeting not only the cultural but also the economic, religious, environmental and social needs of this community.
