Watkins Museum of History

The Watkins Museum of History, the home of the Douglas County Historical Society, provides educational resources and activities, public events, and changing exhibits that explore the heritage of Douglas County and connect the past with issues that affect our communities today.

We collect, preserve and disseminate the history of Douglas County, maintain the Watkins Museum of History, and facilitate community engagement through our exhibits, public programs, and educational resources.
