Lawrence Farmers Market

Who We Are

The Lawrence Farmers Market is Kansas's longest-running producer-only farmers market with 78 vendor members who raise, grow, and create their products within 50 miles of Lawrence. Our goal is to increase access to local food and farm products and to make economic and educational connections between community members and local vendors.

What We Do

In addition to running the Market every Saturday, April-November, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., we also offer educational and food access programs that further our mission and increase customer and community connections with the local economy.

Each week we offer a Scavenger Hunt for children to learn about seasonal, local foods and connect with vendors. In June and July, our Play With Your Food program invites kids to engage with local foods through taste tests, crafts, and other fun educational activities.

We also administer food access token programs at our Market for SNAP/EBT users. When customers swipe their SNAP/EBT card, we match their withdrawn dollars up to $25 a day for Double Up Food Bucks (used for fruits and vegetables) and Double Up Protein Bucks (used for local proteins like eggs, meat, and tofu).
