Who We Are
We are a non-profit youth development organization serving an 11 county area in northeast Kansas. We serve both boys and girls ages 5 - 20 and serve over 2,000 youth through more than 1,000 volunteers in the counties of Coffey, Greenwood, Jackson, Jefferson, Lyon, Marshall, Nemaha, Osage, Pottawatomie, Shawnee, and Wabaunsee.
What We Do
The mission of Scouting America Jayhawk Area Council is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Scout Oath On my honor I will do my best, To do my duty to God and my country, and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight. Scout Law A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, & Reverent.
