Description

Join Friends members, Girl Scouts and the community at our annual Cabin and Garden Workday on September 14, from 9 am to noon, rain or shine!  Tasks for all ages and energy levels! Families, individuals and groups are welcome. Chores will range from sprucing up the cabin and butterfly garden, cleaning outbuildings; painting, seeding the yard and unit sites, tending saplings, mulching trails, cutting and burning brush, renovating campsites and more.
Carpooling is highly recommended. Park at the main lot and walk down the gravel road to the red brick cabin to sign in. All volunteers must sign a waiver. All minors must have a waiver signed by their parent/guardian, which can be emailed to you in advance; no unaccompanied minors under 15.

Want to tag a monarch butterfly? A monarch exhibit and tagging opportunities will be available throughout the morning!

Wear appropriate clothing and totally enclosed shoes and apply insect repellent. Bring a water bottle or cup. Tools, gloves, refreshments, and instruction provided.  Any amount of time appreciated. RSVP requested, although not mandatory, through the contact email and for more information.
