Heartland Community Health Center is partnering with a national non-profit to bring the “Walk with a Doc” program to Lawrence. The first walk will be held on Saturday, June 13 at 9 AM at the Sandra J. Shaw Community Health Park (110 Maine St). This free event is open to the public and gives participants the opportunity to meet Heartland’s providers outside of the clinical setting. Among the team of providers hosting the 1.25 mile walk will be Heartland’s newest doctor, A.J. Strickland, MD. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
