Volunteer Opportunity: Monthly Harvesters Food Distribution Assistant

We are seeking dedicated volunteers to assist with our Monthly Harvesters Food Distribution, held on the fourth Monday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This role plays a vital part in ensuring individuals and families in need receive food in a welcoming, respectful, and organized environment.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
Provide courteous and respectful assistance to clients during food distribution
Answer questions and offer information about the food items being distributed
Ensure clients receive the correct quantity of food based on established guidelines
Uphold principles of dignity and respect, serving clients from all walks of life
Lift and move boxes, stand for extended periods, and carry out tasks that require physical stamina
Represent and support the mission and values of The Salvation Army throughout the distribution process
Time Commitment:
Fourth Monday of each month
10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
(Volunteers are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early to receive instructions)
