Christmas Bureau is a program that provides food and gifts to families in need over the holiday season. For those who have been involved in the past, Christmas Bureau will look a little different this year to provide safety for all involved in the program.
The Intake Volunteer Opportunity is an in-person volunteer opportunity. This volunteer will help greet and direct individuals and families that enter the site. Volunteers will report to Echo Ridge Community Center to complete their volunteer shift. Safety is our number one priority, so we have added an additional measure:
- This volunteers will be required to clean the stations throughout their shift
We will be limiting our location to a maximum of 6 intake volunteers, along with the greeter and location program staff.
For this volunteer opportunity individuals are responsible for meeting with individual clients to help process the Intake Form for Christmas Bureau. You will need to be able to verify all required documentation of every client and make sure that every Intake Form is legible and complete. You will also need to do your best to make sure we will be providing to the clients in most need this year, as we will have limited capacity.
All Intake Volunteers will be required to complete a training to review the changes in the intake process, this training will be virtual, and held on Tuesday, October 17th at noon.
