Description
Volunteers are needed to work tables in front of local stores collecting school supplies from shoppers. The annual school supply drive is a vital way in which we can come together to support our community!
Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
We will be tabling outside Walmart on 6th Street from 9am-5pm on Friday, July 29th, Saturday July 30th, and Sunday, July 31st.
Be mindful of the weather forecast and dress appropriately.
Please bring your own water.
Shifts & Duties
8:45am-11:00am
- Meet at Walmart on 6th St. and Set up tabling equipment
- Table until 11:00 am
- Hand-off to next shift
11:00am-1:00pm and 1:00pm-3:00pm
- Meet the group at Walmart on 6th Street
- Table until designated end time
- Hand-off to next shift
3:00pm-5:15pm
- Meet the group at Walmart on 6th Street
- Table until 5:00pm
- Tally supplies collected
- Help take apart tabling supplies and load up with the Salvation Army representative.
General duties will include:
- Communicate kindly and effectively with store staff and shoppers
- Solicit donations from shoppers entering and leaving the store
- Sort collected donations by supply type if possible
