For 41 years the St. John Mexican Fiesta has celebrated the Mexican American community in and around Lawrence, Kansas. This festive event includes entertainment by mariachi bands and Mexican folkloric dancers.
Our volunteer Fiesta team serve traditional tamales, enchiladas, tacos, and burritos home-made with love by members of the St. John Mexican American community. This family-friendly event includes fun for all ages. Children play games while adults enjoy beer and wine.
Proceeds of the event support St. John Catholic parish and its many ministries that serve parishioners and the Lawrence community at large. Proceeds also provide scholarships for post secondary education to Mexican youth in the Lawrence area.
