5K Home Run Event - General Set-up Volunteer
The annual 5K Home Run event is a staple fundraising event supporting Family Promise of Lawrence. Join us in the fight to prevent families from being unhoused in Douglas County, Kansas, by supporting this event as a volunteer, a participant, or both!
Help set up for the 5K Home Run: Set up tables, chairs, water and ice, food tables, T-shirts, volunteer check-in locations, hang banners, and post signs etc.

| Inclement Weather Plan: The event will take place at South Park in Lawrence, Kansas, on Memorial Day. If there is inclement weather, Family Promise plans to cancel the event because there is no shelter at the park, and most of the nearby businesses will be closed due to the holiday. | |
