We need your help!! Please join us for fall-winter maintenance in the western half of Hidden Valley Camp, from Mary’s Meadow west to the Westward Ho trail, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, 1 pm – 4 pm (rain date Sunday, October 19, 2025, 1-4pm). Hidden Valley Camp is 40 acres of urban wilderness on private property owned by a non-profit. It is used by Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, other youth groups, and adult groups of various kinds. We have a yurt, archery range, zip lines, a new slingshot area, trails, and much more.
There are projects for all ages and all abilities—stay the whole time or part of the time. We will be cutting back encroaching vegetation, tending to native-tree saplings we planted, mulching around large trees, tending native-plant gardens, hauling firewood and straightening fire rings and woodpiles, cleaning the vegetation out of our (dry) vernal pond, etc., etc.
