Kansas Half-Marathon VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Support Access to Affordable Health Care for At-Risk Populations

The Kansas Half Marathon & 5K is a fundraising event for Heartland Community Health Center. This event is essential in allowing Heartland to provide access to affordable health care for all.

Heartland’s new state of the art facility is now open in Lawrence, KS, and they never turn away a patient based on their ability to pay. 

The Kansas Half-Marathon & 5K takes place THIS SUNDAY, Nov. 14, at South Park in Lawrence, and Heartland is in great need of volunteers (high school age or older).

Volunteer responsibilities would include helping at aid stations along the route, and serving as course marshals. Volunteering time frames range from 6:30am – 10:30am. All volunteers will get a free T-shirt and a great morning cheering on runners as they make their way through Lawrence!
