Volunteers are needed to research and price new donations.
What you'll do:
- Use computers to research donated books, CDs, DVDs and audiobooks
- Determine the resale value of donated items
- Make decisions on where to send donated items based on resale value
When we need help:
- Any time the library is open
- 1-hour shifts
- No weekly commitment is required
Why this helps:
- Identifying valuable books means we are good stewards of the items donated to us
- Researching hard-to-find books takes a special person
This ISN'T the volunteer spot for you if:
- You aren't a fan of computers
- Problems without quick solutions make you grumpy
- You prefer to move around when you volunteer
This IS the spot for you if:
- You are curious and love investigating a good mystery
- You are comfortable using a computer
- You are OK with some problems being unanswered
