What:
Volunteer HOSPICE MASSAGE Therapists (or related touch therapy)
Provide volunteer massage for our hospice patients who will deeply benefit from this volunteer service.
When:
Once time, once a month or more often as your schedule allows.
Most hospice patients benefit from twice a month to once a week visits but volunteer around your schedule and availability.
Massages typically take place in the patient's home or nursing facility. Typical visit time is 30min-1hour.
Requirements:
Application/Interview
Training in modality and comfort working around patient's physical restrictions and understanding of contraindications.
Not needed: massage table or chair.
*Massage will take place in/on client surroundings: on couch, bed or chair/wheelchair. Massages can be clothed or semi-clothed. Simple, light Swedish-style massage is most typically requested. Full body massages not requested. Site specific.
