It is most definitely summer outside. and there are many questions surrounding the upcoming school year, but one certainty is that having adequate supplies enables children to get a better education. We've partnered with our good friends at Lawrence Public Schools, Salvation Army of Douglas County, ECKAN of Douglas County, and the Lawrence Rotary Club to try and collect much needed supplies to promote a more equitable learning environment. No child should miss out on a proper education because they can't get the basic supplies that they need!
We are looking for a couple volunteers to help us collect donated supplies from stores (there are 8 locations across Lawrence.) Collections are Monday and Thursdays. Time of collection is flexible. Collection will be picked up from Retail location and delivered to United Way at the Castle (they can be delivered on Tuesday and Friday if necessary.)

When you're out shopping in Lawrence pick up a box of tissue or a pack of pencils and drop them in the blue bin on your way out!
