Description

We have a large curriculum room that is currently not used because it needs to be reorganized.  We could use your help to get it organized and functioning for our teachers to store and find items for their classrooms. Our goal is to have all of the materials removed from the room, trash disposed, items sorted, and a work space created for our teachers. Once everything has been sorted and placed into different piles (keep, trash, and/or donate), we would like all the items placed back in their designated areas. We definitely need the manpower and arm strength to get through it all.

If there is time, we also have a storage closet under the stairs that is FULL of curriculum books that are no longer used from when we served older students. We either need these placed in the dumpster or may have them sent for recycling.

And finally, any additional time, we have a large quantity of papers that need shredded.

All of this would be a tremendous help and greatly appreciated.

If project doesn't fill to capacity it will be cancelled and signed up volunteers will be reassigned.

Details

Get Connected Icon Q: How will this project impact your organization?
A: So much of our focus is on the daily events of caring for the 82 children we serve. Unfortunately, stuff like the organization is put on the back burner, because we must meet the daily needs first. This will provide the staff with a space to plan and organize their lessons each week for the children with the ability to utilize all the materials we have available for them but is not accessible at this time.
