Description

Our courtyard shed needs a little TLC! This project will include:

  • removing the termination bar on the EPDM roof edge
  • removing the fascia board around the top of the shed
  • removing the corner posts
  • removing the 2 doors
  • removing the siding off all three sides
  • rebuilding the doors by duplicating the 2 that were removed
  • installing new siding after cutting to fit
  • installing new corner posts
  • installing new fascia boards around the top
  • installing the new doors and hardware
  • reattaching EPDM roofing and add termination bar around the edges
  • If time allows the shed could be painted.

If project doesn't fill to capacity it will be cancelled and signed up volunteers will be reassigned.

A: This shed stores tools and supplies used by the adults we serve to take care of the garden ares we have here at the Capper Foundation. The gardening skills that the participants acquire are good life skills as well as job skills.

A: We would like volunteers with some general knowledge of carpentry and use of small power tools along with ability to read a tape measure.

A: We will supply all of the wood building materials along with nails, screws, hinges and any other miscellaneous items needed for the project including all hammers, drills, screwdrivers, and pry-bars need to do the assembly of the shed.
