Volunteer: Board of Directors memberBoard Members of Papan’s Landing Senior Center provide leadership, governance, and strategic direction to support the organization’s mission of serving seniors in our community. Board Members act as ambassadors, advocates, and stewards, ensuring the long-term sustainability and impact of the organization. Key Responsibilities Support and uphold the mission, vision, and values of Papan’s Landing Senior Center Participate in strategic planning and organizational decision-making Attend and actively engage in regular board meetings Provide oversight of financial health, including review of budgets and funding needs Assist with fundraising efforts, community outreach, and partnership development Advocate for the needs of seniors within the community Support and evaluate the Executive Director as appropriate Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policiesExpectations Attend scheduled board meetings and relevant committee meetings Come prepared, informed, and ready to contribute Act in the best interest of the organization and maintain confidentiality Support fundraising initiatives and help identify potential donors or resources Serve as a positive representative of Papan’s in the communityPreferred Qualifications Passion for serving seniors and strengthening the community Experience in leadership, nonprofit work, business, finance, healthcare, or related fields (not required but beneficial) Willingness to collaborate, problem-solve, and contribute ideasTime Commitment Board meetings: Monthly, last Monday of the month, 1:15 pm Additional involvement: committee work, events, or special projects as needed Agency: Papan's Landing Senior Center Board Members of Papan’s Landing Senior Center provide leadership, governance, and strategic direction to support the organization’s mission of serving seniors in our community.
