Who We Are
Founded in 1967, the Topeka Literacy Council is a nonprofit [501(c)(3)] organization of volunteers who help adults learn to read and write to improve their economic standing and raise their self-esteem. The TLC also strives to educate the community about illiteracy and its effects on society.
What We Do
The Topeka Literacy Council recruits and trains adult volunteers to tutor, on a one-to-one basis, other adults who want to improve their reading, writing and math skills.
