Who We Are
We are a non-profit, no-kill cat only shelter that has been in the area for almost 35 years. We've been OUR MISSION: DONATE: Provide opportunities for adoption of relinquished, stray and abandoned cats and kittens. Provide a safe alternative environment to care for cats and kittens while they await adoption. EDUCATE: Suggest options for finding homes for cats we are unable to shelter. Increase the awareness of and educate the public regarding the following: Responsible pet care and guardianship. Issues pertaining to pet overpopulation and the need to spay or neuter pets. The importance of preventative health care and annual vaccinations. Encouragement of community responsibility in animal welfare “overpopulation” issues including feral cat management (TNR). PARTICIPATE: Foster a community of cooperation among all animal welfare organizations. Actively develop strategies to reduce pet overpopulation.
What We Do
We make sure the cats under our care are taken care of to the best of our abilities. We keep their areas clean daily, do vet runs as needed, help socialize and adopt out when possible (this comes after the cleaning). We take in cats from the area as we're able to provide them care and the chance to find a good home. We fund raise in the area and online to help with that care as we do not receive state or county funds. We apply for grants to help as well. We also care for the outside grounds to help them look clean and beautiful for our visitors.
