Upward Bound/Upward Bound Math & Science-LT

We work with John Deere, one of our grant sponsors, to coordinate activities, volunteer opportunities, facility visits, workshops, a mentorship program, and more. Through a symbiotic relationship, students are able to benefit from John Deere academically and career-wise, and John Deere employees earn incentives for choosing to volunteer with us. Our goal is to generate more interest from John Deere employees to volunteer. This does two things: it helps our students establish a network of professionals for career readiness, and it secures future grant money by encouraging John Deere we are a worthy organization.

Upward Bound serves low-income, first-generation, and disabled high school students to get them into college. We do this through academic and extracurricular programming both during the school year and over the summer in our residential program. Students have access to classes, mentors, workshops, advising, and more to help them succeed.
