Who We Are
Safe Kids Douglas County is comprised of different agencies, groups, and volunteers that are all dedicated to preventing accidental death and injury to children. We operate in several safety areas including Child Passenger Safety (CPS), Helmet distribution, SIDS prevention and pedestrian safety.
What We Do
Safe Kids Douglas County's mission is to prevent accidental death and injury to children under 15 years of age. Safe Kids USA was founded by C. Everett Coop in the early 1980's; he believed that trauma (physical injury) was a disease that could be not only treated, but prevented.
