Who We Are

Harvesters is a regional food bank serving a 27-county area across northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas.

Our mission is to mobilize the power of our community to create equitable access to nutritious food and address the root causes and impact of hunger.

Our vision is a healthy, thriving community where no one is hungry.

Hunger is a complex and overwhelming problem—but together, we can make a difference. There are many ways YOU can help: through donations of time, food, funds, and advocacy, we can work toward ending hunger in our region.

What We Do

Harvesters distributes food and resources through a network of more than 900 partner agencies and programs, including food pantries, kitchens, emergency shelters, and day programs that serve families, children, and seniors.

Our network helps families and individuals access nutritious foods and essential household items through the following programs:

  • Food assistance through our agency network
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • BackSnack & School Pantry
  • Senior Mobile Food Pantries
  • Senior Food Commodities (CSFP)
  • Food+ Workforce
  • Food+ Health
  • Food+ Transportation
  • Disaster Relief & Response

Court-Ordered Community Service (CSW): Harvesters can only accept individuals completing court-ordered community service through referral from one of our two partner programs:

  • Metropolitan Community Service Program
  • Douglas County Community Service Work Program
