Who We Are

The DARE (Drop In and Rest) Center is a daytime, drop-in, daily refuge with basic services to provide physical and emotional comfort for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

What We Do

DARE operates 2:00 to 6:00 PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, (Closed Wednesdays) at 944 Kentucky Street. DARE provides the basic necessities, such as a shower, washer and dryer, coffee, and an inviting place to come in and get off of the street. WHAT ELSE WE OFFER - Receiving mail - Hygiene items - Coffee, donated snacks - Restrooms - Telephones - Laundry, washer and dryer - Showers - Referrals for services to other area resources and agencies. - Other activities/workshops as offered by local volunteers.
