This event is a two-hour volunteer training for anyone interested in volunteering as a reader with United Way. This training, at Child Care Aware of Eastern Kansas, will teach you to actively engage young children with books, understand the importance of regularly reading to emerging readers, and provide other valuable tips and tricks for your volunteer experience.
Feel free to bring a beverage and snack for yourself if you like. You are also welcome to bring a favorite picture book if you have one, or choose from our extensive library.
