Join us on August 3 and 4 as we sort school supplies that have been graciously donated to help students in Douglas County.

After all of the tabling and donating we are ready to pack the school supplies and get them to the students of Douglas County! Volunteers are needed to sort and pack supplies so that they can be delivered to the elementary schools.
Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
We will be packing and sorting at the Deerfield Elementary School 10 am-4:30 pm on Wednesday, August 3, and Thursday, August 4.
Shifts & Duties
10:00am-12:30pm
- Check in at the volunteer table
- Receive your task/assignment
- Assist with setting up space for sorting and packing
- Help organize boxes for each school
- Begin sorting supplies
- Work until 12:30 pm
- Hand-off to next shift
12:00pm- 2:30pm
- Check in at the volunteer table
- Receive your task/assignment
- Assist with packing supplies into backpacks
- Work until 2:30 pm
- Hand-off to next shift
2:00pm-4:30pm
- Check in at the volunteer table
- Receive your task/assignment
- Assist with packing supplies into backpacks
- Help pack the backpacks into school boxes
- Organize the school boxes and ensure counts are met
- Assist with clean up
You will be supported by volunteers of the school supply drive committee & Grace Brunner, AmeriCorps Member at United Way of Douglas County.
