The Shawnee County Human Trafficking Coalition is bringing a program called "Culture Reframed" to Topeka parents. This program empowers adults to build their child's "resistance to hypersexualized media and porn" through education, discussion, and collaboration. The classes will be help from September 9th-October 7th, 2019 on Monday evenings from 6pm-8pm at Avondale East.
In order to avoid any roadblocks when trying to join us, the Coalition would like to offer free childcare and supper to all that attend. With that being said, we need volunteers to help us watch the children that attend with their parents throughout the duration of the course each night. We've already planned many classroom-like activities for the children to do during that time, and we have many board games on hand as well. We just need help from those who are willing to give up a few hours to watch some kiddos for us at the facility so that their parents may learn how to better keep them healthy and safe!
