Position: Day Center Volunteer
Opportunity Overview:
As a Day Center Volunteer, you will be an invaluable source of support for our guests, providing them with a compassionate presence during their journey to healing. Step into a vital space where we address our clients' most fundamental needs, offering a safe sanctuary to rest, rejuvenate, enjoy nourishing meals, access clean clothing, and receive unwavering support from our specialized staff and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with new intake and orientation
- Handling incoming calls with care
- Ensuring the center remains tidy and welcoming
Volunteer Shifts:
- The Human Trafficking Day Center operates on Mondays from 8 am to 2 pm, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 12 pm to 5 pm, with volunteer shifts available within these time frames.
- While we kindly request a commitment of at least one shift per week, we understand the importance of flexibility and are willing to work with your schedule
Requirements:
- Prior to beginning your volunteer work, you will undergo our comprehensive YWCA Advocate Training, empowering you with the knowledge and skills necessary to make a meaningful impact.
- Please note that a background check and training are required, ensuring the safety and well-being of all involved.
