Big news, Topeka! We’re once again hosting the NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships at Washburn’s world-class indoor facility.
Top collegiate athletes from across the country will compete right here in the Capital City—and we’re calling on our incredible volunteers to help us make it unforgettable. From high-speed sprints to high-flying jumps, it’s all happening in Topeka!
We need assistance with field events, clerking, and general hospitality, while also helping keep the track secure. Clerking will assist with runner check-in, and general hospitality will monitor the track to ensure a safe boundary.
Assisting with fields events includes raking sand pits and replacing poles on High Jump, Pole Vault, and with triple and long jumps. These roles require:
- Repetitive bending at the waist and raising arms
- Pushing and pulling a rake through sand
- Must be able to see and hear visual and audio cues
Volunteers must be 18 years old and older. There are volunteer opportunities available for all abilities.
Let’s show the nation our hometown pride and help to ensure the smooth operation of this Championship.
