Friday, September 18, 9:30 am - 3 pm at Community Action Head Start, 2400 SE Highland, Topeka KS 66605. There are 2 shifts: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm and 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
This project involves assisting our families with the Community Action Head Start Swap & Shop on Friday. Swap & Shop is a bi-annual event where donated items are redistributed to our community.
Volunteer tasks include: Gathering items, ensuring items are clean and in usable condition (attention to detail regarding stains, tears, or other quality concerns), tidying clothing donations, strollers, small items and setting items up/displaying items in preparation for Swap & Shop.
Volunteers should be prepared to carry small household items such as hampers, dining chairs, car seats, strollers, and boxes of clothing.
Water, lunch, and snacks are provided. Lunch will be available between 11:30 am-12:30 pm.
