The City is looking for volunteers for the America Recycles Day Celebration (http://www.lawrenceks.org/swm/ard) on Friday, November 13th. Volunteers are needed for the following two tasks. You can chose a shift of 2:30-4:30, 4:30-6:30 or stay for the whole event!
EVENT SET UP:
- Volunteers should arrive at 2:30 pm to the entrance of Sports Pavilion Lawrence. Come to the table with the Solid Waste Management table cloth (volunteer shift will last about 2 hours).
- Volunteers will be helping with setting up games/activities, a photo booth, and other tasks as assigned. Once the event begins, you will be stationed at a game/activity (which you will be instructed on how to help with) and chatting with children and other citizens who participate.
EVENT BREAK DOWN:
- Volunteers should arrive at 4:30 pm to the entrance of Sports Pavilion Lawrence. Come to the table with the Solid Waste Management table cloth (volunteer shift will last about 2 hours).
- Volunteers will be assigned to take over a game/activity that an exiting volunteer will instruct them on. Volunteers will also help with cleaning and packing up once the event winds down at 6:00.
All volunteers will receive a giveaway item from Lawrence Recycles as a THANK YOU! Plus, Big Jay will be at the event's photo booth to snap a picture with!
