Volunteer grant reviewers are needed to help United Way of Greater Topeka decide how to invest funding in our Basic Need area of Access to Healthcare & Prescription Assistance.
Investment panels of 10 to 12 community volunteers review proposals to help evaluate potential program impact and effectiveness. You will review and score the applications on your own using our secure online investment software (e-CImpact) before joining other reviewers in an in-person investment panel session. You bring your input to the panel and participate in a facilitated discussion that results in consensus investment recommendations. Individual volunteer scores are kept confidential — only combined scores are shared with the group.
We estimate you will spend approximately 1-1.5 hours per submitted application. Number of agency applications will not be known until AFTER November 8, 2018.
We ask you to plan for the full time allotted however depending on the number of proposals, you may finish earlier.
Lunch will be provided.
Once you have signed up to volunteer for this panel you will need to attend one of two panel trainings. These trainings will be held at the United Way offices in the Community Room. Click the date below to RSVP for one of the two panel trainings.
