Description

Have you seen the latest challenge to hit social media? The trash challenge (https://cnn.it/2HyFmV3) encourages people to make a difference by cleaning up their communities using the hashtag #Trashtag. Take part in this challenge with us and our partner Keep America Beautiful-Topeka/Shawnee County on April 3, at the Central Park Pond. You can sign up at http://bit.ly/SCPRWaterFrontCleanUp

We have a new exciting group called the Waterfront Warriors.  These valiant volunteers will hold cleanups around some of our water features in Shawnee County three times this year.

Our first effort will be at Central Park, 1534 SW Clay on Wednesday, April 3rd.  Volunteers will clean up the shoreline around the small pond there, and it really needs some attention.  We will work from 1 – 3 p.m., weather permitting.  Warning: We could get wet, and we could get muddy, but we WILL make a huge difference that day.
