Leadership Greater Topeka is excited to partner with Giving Grove Orchard to create a community orchard at the Oakland Community Garden site.
We are looking for volunteers to help us plant our orchard!
Volunteers are need to help plant around 10 different trees all tools will be provided. This wonderful opportunity will allow the community to begin harvesting in orchard in approximately 3 years.
This community garden is one of three and is located at the corner of Grant and Michigan, by the Lundgren Elementary School.
This is a family friendly event, children are welcome with a parent or guardian.
Tools and training will be provided on-site. Please wear closed toe shoes and clothes
Volunteers are encouraged to bring sunscreen, gloves, and a water bottle.
