The Lawrence Pride Parade will take place on Massachusetts Street in downtown Lawrence on Saturday, June 3, at 3:00 p.m. This is your opportunity to help us make it happen!
Volunteer Positions
Barricades: 12 needed
1st Shift: Before Parade: Arrival time to be determined. Will be communicated as soon
as possible.
2nd Shift: Directly following the parade (4:30 or 5:00 p.m.)
- Place barricades at specified locations along Massachusetts Street parade route
- Remove barricades following the parade and deliver them to 8th street block
party
- This includes heavy lifting
Check-In: 4 needed
Arrive at 1:00 p.m.
- Greet parade entrants as they arrive
- Check-in parade participants and direct them to their place in line
Float Inspectors: 4 needed
Arrive at 1:00 p.m.
- Inspect floats for adherence to PRIDE Parade guidelines prior to parade start
time
- Work with parade participants to remedy any violations of PRIDE Parade
guidelines
