The Friends of Hidden Valley invite you to join us in sprucing up our 40 acre camp, located in the city limits of Lawrence, KS, on Saturday, April 20, 1-4 pm (rain date is Sunday).
We will be planting native tree saplings, doing trail maintenance and trimming back vegetation, doing spring cleaning in our native-plant gardens, hauling and burning brush, and more! This is a fun and rewarding time with so many generous volunteers helping to maintain the camp, which has no paid employees.
Please join us! We provide snacks, pre-washed loaner gloves, and tools--just bring yourself, a water bottle, hat, and insect repellent (oh, those ticks and chiggers!), and wear sturdy (closed-toe) shoes (no sandals!!) and clothing that could get dirty.
