Catholic
Charities of Northeast Kansas is committed to serving our communities with 25+
programs aimed at moving clients from a place of needing help to one of having
hope.
We
operate 7 Family Support Centers and 8 food pantries. Our Topeka Family Support
Center relocated and expanded services in Shawnee County when Let’s Help, Inc.,
ceased operations and chose Catholic Charities to continue their critical work.
In addition to food assistance, our Family Support Centers offer direct
financial assistance for past due rent and utilities; job skills training;
financial education; and more.
Our
Rural Family Support Services serves our 15 communities where resources may not
be easily accessible and Catholic Charities does not have a physical office.
Our Resource Bus makes scheduled visits to these communities equipped with
basic essentials including food, clothing, diapers and hygiene items.
Catholic
Charities also provides pregnancy support services to women facing an
unexpected pregnancy; pairs adoptive families with infants in need of a forever
home; offers transitional living programs to those at-risk or experiencing
homelessness; provides education and employment support to refugees and
immigrants; and much, much more!
