Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas continuously works to serve our communities with 30+ programs that offer a variety of services.
To combat the increase of food insecurity, we have 8 Family Support Centers, 8 food pantries, and two mobile resource buses that help provide food to the hungry, clothing for those in need, and financial assistance. For our community members to reach self-sufficiency, we also offer financial literacy and job placement services.
Catholic Charities resettles refugees from all over the world who were forced to flee from their country due to religious or ethnic persecution. We assist incoming families with move-ins to settle them into their new homes and work alongside our case managers to aid in daily activities such as grocery shopping and transportation. We also offer a variety of classes such as ESL and Citizenship, to support our new neighbors as they get to know a new language and culture.
Catholic Charities also counsels pregnant women facing an unexpected pregnancy; pairs adoptive families with infants in need of a forever home; offers a transitional living program to men experiencing homelessness; empowers refugee, immigrant and ELL farmers to develop a sustainable business; and much, much more!
Every 60 seconds Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas provides help and opportunity to families across our 21 county service area. Throughout the year we continuously help our neighbors in need, providing food assistance, mentorship, educational opportunities, and more. This can only be possible with the gracious help of over 1,200 volunteers each month. If you are wanting to make a difference within your community, consider becoming a volunteer!
