We are always in need of volunteers throughout the week (all 7 days) to come in from 8am to 11am to help clean up our cats' living areas. Duties would include, but are not limited to, cleaning litter boxes, kurandas, kennels, walls and floors, depending on the area assigned, as well as changing water dishes and blankets/beds. During this time, the laundry and dishes are being done in between tasks. When cleaning is done, playtime/attention time can be started, although many of our cats think half of the challenge during cleaning time is to make sure they help. And often part of cleaning comes with moving a cat or playing with them to get them out of the way, as we said, they're very helpful!
For those interested, we arrange a meeting date to go over expectations, answer questions and tour the facility. There is paperwork that will be gone over at that time. We are flexible in the number of days a volunteer would like to help - we have volunteers give anywhere from 1 shift to multiple shifts per month or even every other month.
