What to Expect
You will be serving in the Volunteer Engagement Center warehouse. All training will be provided on-site, and a staff member will be available during your shift if you have additional questions. Volunteer tasks are assigned based on product availability and project prioritization. September opportunities include:
Sorting fresh produce or bread
Packing Senior Commodity Food Boxes
To ensure the safety of the people we serve, staff, and volunteers, and to make sure that everyone has a good and productive time, please follow these guidelines below when visiting our facilities.
All volunteers must be at least 12 years of age.
All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes (all parts of the foot must be covered)
The temperature in the warehouse can be a bit unpredictable so you are encouraged to dress comfortably in layers.
Restrooms, snacks, water fountains, and vending machines will be available to you.

What to Bring
Volunteers are encouraged to bring spill proof reusable water bottles. Food donations are appreciated! If every volunteer brought one donation with them each time they volunteered, we would be able to provide over 6,000 more meals each month. Please click here for our most needed item list.
